Leong Weng Yuen was a
former research scientist with a Singapore government laboratory and headed
projects in air monitoring and water purification. He has also been involved in
many publications. His interests also span rather widely as he was always
involved in community services activities to help the needy and always learning
new things. He even learnt the language of the Naxi (a minority people group in
China).
Lim Cheng Hock
has been a Human Resource professional for more than 20
years. His HR experiences covered all aspects of the HR function and in more
recent years in the areas of organization change and management; both as an
internal and external resource person. Having worked in several Multinational
Companies with the Asia Pacific regional scope of responsibilities together with
his residence in New Zealand and now China, he is well versed in various
cultures of Asia Pacific. A keen and life long learner himself, he has also been
involved in the field of Training and Development helping others to learn and
develop. Currently he is a lecturer teaching undergraduates in the areas of
management, organization behavior, communication and human resource management.
His love for learning and helping others extends beyond his professional works
as he had been involved in the works of the Singapore Boys Brigade for many
years as an officer and later as a resource person at the HQ level.
Patrick Oh
was a former industrial automation machine designer and a community worker. His greatest passion was in design
and development. His design interests range from fashion design, building
design, culinary hobby, robotics, to products design and many more areas. He
has a gift of learning things in a short time and was personally involved in
developing many new things which he has just learnt. He designed web-sites,
composed songs, arranged music, designed rural schools and toilets through self
learning. He is also the founder and director of CARE-Venture
International, serving the less fortunate. He started serving as a
volunteer at a very young age. He served as an officer of the Singapore
Boys' Brigade since 1990 and started the 72nd Singapore Company. His greatest passion is to live a
life serving others and mobilizing others to do the same. He believes in
living simply
so that others can simply live.
